The Council for Citizens Against Government Waste (CCAGW) applies its own rating system to our U.S. senators and congressmembers. In the council’s words,
Since 1989, the Council for Citizens Against Government Waste (CCAGW) has examined roll call votes to identify which members of Congress are protecting the interests of taxpayers and which are squandering their hard-earned dollars. Those members who stand shoulder-to-shoulder with taxpayers and work to cut wasteful federal spending and taxes deserve special recognition. However, those who support big-government programs and pork-barrel projects and continually ignore Americans’ fiscal concerns should be reprimanded for their less-than-stellar performances.
The latest CCAGW review is for the last full year concluded, 2009.
Would you be at all surprised at these results?

Does it surprise anyone that Lynn Woolsey scored the worst of these five? Even worse than Nancy Pelosi?
These senators and representatives MUST be replaced, and we in California have the ability to retire four of those five on November 2. We voters have been content to let things ride and allow Congress too long a leash. We must exert our power as the basic human source of governance here in the U.S. We must eject the careeer politicians who are bringing our country to its knees. Let’s not miss this historic opportunity, Sonoma and Marin Counties, to replace Lynn Woolsey now!
So if all life is sacred then why vote for someone who supports both the war and the death penalty? I thought you were opposed to unnecessary killing. ???
