One out of five ain’t bad. It’s terrible.

In a Gallup poll published September 13, 2010, voters put their thumbs down for four out of five pieces of major legislation recently passed by Congress.

Only the financial regulation bill received a majority approval — 61%.

The other four received these approval ratings:

The economic stimulus package — 43%

Government aid to U.S. automakers in danger of going bankrupt — 43%

The health care overhaul — 39%

Government aid to banks and and other financial institutions in danger of failing — 37%

Didn’t we tell Congress at the time they were voting on these bailouts and boondoggles that we were opposed?? Of course we did. Until we were blue in the face. But they didn’t, and still don’t, listen. They WON’T listen.

And Lynn Woolsey, our congresswoman for the time being, STILL ISN’T LISTENING TO US.

It’s time for every congressional district to vote for a representative who WILL LISTEN. It’s time for our 6th District to retire Lynn Woolsey and select a new House member.
